An Ohio woman’s routine day at work turned into a day she will never forget when she won a life-changing prize of $572,217.52 while playing the Kentucky Lottery.

The winner, who asked to remain anonymous, told the Kentucky Lottery that she often plays Instant Play games during breaks at work. On the day she won, the woman took out her phone and placed a $2 wager on Money Strike Jackpots.

What happened next changed her life – she won $572,217.52. “Next thing I know, I see $572,000 show up on my phone screen,” she said. “I didn’t believe it. I called customer service several times to make sure it was real.”

The winner told Kentucky Lottery officials that one of her first calls went to her son. “She FaceTimed me, which she never does,” he said. “She sent me two screenshots and said, ‘I want to see your face when you see this.’ My initial reaction was that they were fake. I went silent—I just didn’t know what to believe.”
