A shooting on the 210 Freeway in the Glendora area has prompted the closure of all eastbound lanes on the highway early Friday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Baldwin Park CHP deputies initiated a pursuit after a driver failed to yield shortly before 3 a.m.
Deputies chased the driver of a white utility vehicle that was sought for a possible assault on a tow truck driver on the eastbound 210 Freeway near Grand Avenue, the CHP said.
The pursuit ended at Arrow Highway and Citrus Avenue and an officer-involved shooting occurred.
The driver was injured as a result of the shooting and transported to a local hospital. His condition was not known.
The 210 Freeway lanes will remain closed for an unknown duration, CHP said.
