At least one person was shot and another was detained Saturday after authorities responded to reports of an active shooter at Deerbrook Mall in Humble, Texas.
The Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4 said deputies responded alongside the Humble Police Department to the mall, located in the 20100 block of U.S. Highway 59.
According to the constable’s office, one victim has been reported shot, and one person has been detained. Law enforcement officers remain on scene as the investigation continues.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were working with partner agencies to secure the mall. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the area and follow the directions of law enforcement personnel.
