The agreement provides for approximately 12 square feet of floor space in the mechanical room of the airport terminal building for aeronautical radio equipment cabinet, along with additional rooftop space for associated attendants.

Details of the Lease

The lease amount is $150 per month with an annual 2% increase. The equipment will support radio communication serving the aviation industry, specifically an ACAR system, which is a digital communication system used in aviation to transmit short messages between aircraft and ground stations.

Airlines and flight crews use the system to send information such as flight plans, weather updates, maintenance data, gate assignments, and other routing operation messages. ARINC Incorporated has been contracted by United Airlines to install and manage this system. The agreement has an initial term of 12 months and will automatically renew annually for up to 20 years.
