The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will host the WYO Rodeo Boot Kick Off at Whitney Commons Park. Registration to compete begins at 4:30 p.m. on July 7, with children’s stick horse races starting at 5 p.m., followed by the boot kicking competition for teens and adults.
Family-Friendly Event
According to Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Teresa Detimore, the event invites community members and visitors to participate in a long-standing Sheridan tradition while competing for more than $1,300 in Chamber Bucks prizes. The event is free, open to the public, and hosted by the Sheridan County Chamber Ambassadors.
Food and drinks vendors will also be in attendance. The event includes Stick Horse Barrel Races for kids up to 8 years of age. Detimore urges those wishing to take part to arrive early and get registered to kick and ride.
