Karla Kaley is running for Sheridan County Commissioner, driven by concerns over high property taxes and the need for tax reform. As a lifelong Republican and experienced real estate professional, she aims to lower property taxes for all property owners in Sheridan County.
Platform and Experience
Kaley believes in the importance of optimized police, fire, and first responder services, as well as snow removal, road maintenance, and public safety. She has voiced concerns about inadequate funding for Rural Fire Suppression and the need for better assessment methods for all types of properties.
With a background in chemistry, biology, and endocrinology, Kaley has had successful careers in both government and the private sector. She is committed to preserving and protecting the rural Wyoming way of life for all Sheridan County communities, taxpayers, and citizens.
Community Involvement
Kaley is leading the community opposition to the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Coffeen and Brundage project, which proposes to install concrete center median barriers. She believes in local focus and local control, valuing the input of taxpayers and citizens in addressing community challenges.
