Health Update
According to McConnell, he did not break any bones or suffer a concussion as a result of the fall, but he did develop pneumonia, which led to his extended hospital stay. McConnell expressed his gratitude for the excellent care he received and stated that he is continuing to work on his recovery.
McConnell also assured his constituents that he is still committed to his work in the Senate, despite his current health challenges. He stated that he has been working closely with his legislative staff on current issues and has been keeping in touch with his Senate colleagues on various matters.
McConnell’s update comes as he prepares to retire at the end of his term in January. Despite his retirement plans, McConnell emphasized that he still has unfinished business to complete on behalf of his constituents and intends to finish the job he was elected to do.
