Security Guard Fired After Intruder Targets Craig Melvin

A security guard who failed to stop an intruder from entering the TODAY show studio in New York City has been fired. The intruder, identified as Andrew Truelove, was able to slip past two security guards and made his way into the studio, where he allegedly yelled racial slurs and confronted host Craig Melvin.

Incident Details

According to reports, Truelove broke into the studio on Thursday, searching for Al Roker. He was quickly taken into custody by the NYPD and is now facing two hate crime charges. Melvin addressed the incident on the show the following day, stating that everyone was safe and cooperating with the investigation.
