Secret Service Confirms Iranian Video Threat Against President Trump’s Youngest Son

The U.S. Secret Service announced on Friday that it is aware of a video broadcast by Iranian state media that threatens President Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump. The video shows locations associated with the boy and concludes with a claim that a $10 million reward will be paid to anyone who provides his whereabouts.

Agency response

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” said Nate Herring, a Secret Service spokesperson, in an interview with Fox News Digital. Herring added that, for operational security reasons, the agency will not discuss the specifics of the protective intelligence investigation.

Iranian hostility toward the Trump family

Iranian state media has a history of broadcasting threats against President Trump and his family. The outlet has previously aired messages following the 2020 U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani and after the death of Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which marked the start of heightened tensions between the two nations.

Deputy Director of the Secret Service Matt Quinn told reporters last month, “I don’t think it’s any secret, it’s been in the media, that Iran has publicly said they want to kill President Trump.” The latest video appears to be a continuation of that campaign of intimidation.

Context of broader U.S.–Iran tensions

The threat emerges amid a series of actions taken by the Trump administration to pressure Iran. Recent statements have warned nations that continue economic ties with Tehran, and the United States maintains a naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz to restrict Iranian oil shipments.

In July, President Trump reportedly switched aircraft while traveling through Turkey after receiving credible intelligence of an Iranian surface‑to‑air missile threat. The White House referred any questions about the incident to the Secret Service, underscoring the agency’s role in safeguarding the President and his family.

What this means for national security

While the Secret Service does not disclose details of ongoing investigations, the agency’s acknowledgment signals that federal law‑enforcement resources are being directed at a foreign‑origin threat aimed at a member of the President’s immediate family. Such threats are taken seriously under U.S. law, and any individual or group that attempts to act on the video could face severe criminal penalties.

Officials emphasized that the United States remains vigilant in protecting its leaders and their families from foreign adversaries. The Secret Service continues to coordinate with intelligence partners, including Israel, which has reportedly shared warnings about Iranian plots targeting the President.

Public reaction

Supporters of President Trump have expressed concern over the ongoing targeting of the President and his family, calling for a strong response to Iran’s hostile actions. Critics, meanwhile, argue that the administration’s aggressive posture toward Iran could further inflame tensions.

As the investigation proceeds, the Secret Service has pledged to keep the public informed while safeguarding the details of its protective operations.
