Scattered Storms Expected in Northwest Arkansas This Evening

Residents of Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley should be prepared for potential scattered showers and storms this evening, according to meteorologist Drake Foley. While the first half of Saturday is expected to remain dry with temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s, conditions will change as the day progresses.

As the afternoon unfolds, the likelihood of pop-up showers increases, particularly in the River Valley, before becoming more prevalent in Northwest Arkansas by evening. Temperatures are expected to rise to the mid to upper 80s, potentially reaching the low 90s, bringing with them increased humidity.

These weather patterns are likely to persist into Saturday night and possibly into Sunday morning, with more showers and storms anticipated. Sunday and Monday are expected to be the warmest days, with temperatures again reaching the upper 80s to low 90s.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and keep informed about weather updates. The 40/29 Get Ready Weather Team, including Chief Meteorologist Darby Bybee and meteorologists Laura Huckabee, Drake Foley, and Cole Makos, will provide ongoing updates. For the latest weather information, residents can access the 7-day forecast, interactive radar, and live skycams through the 40/29 News app.
