Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen outside her home on January 31. The home’s doorbell camera recorded a masked intruder disconnecting the cameras at approximately 1:47 a.m. local time on February 1. At 2:28 a.m., her pacemaker lost its Bluetooth connection to her cell phone, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department released ransom notes, which demanded a ransom of $4 million to be paid in Bitcoin, while the author threatened to kill Nancy Guthrie. The notes included references to the crime scene that may not have been public at the time they were sent.
Savannah Guthrie’s plea for help came after the release of the ransom notes. She asked for anyone with information to come forward, stating that someone knows something and that the family is desperate for answers.
