A San Antonio mother, Debra Seward, has spent the past eight years waiting for the San Antonio police to make an arrest in her daughter’s murder case. Her daughter, Grace Seward, 24, was killed on July 15, 2018, after an altercation at a nightclub. Two people followed Grace and her friend to a home on the East Side, where they fired multiple shots, hitting both women. Grace’s friend survived, but she did not.
A Mother’s Faith and Forgiveness
Despite the pain of not knowing her daughter’s killers, Debra Seward remains faithful. She started the Grace Seward Foundation, which aims to raise awareness about the dangers of gun violence. The foundation has raised thousands of dollars to fund scholarships for student athletes and college-bound students. Debra Seward said, ‘I forgive you,’ to the people who killed her daughter, citing her Christian faith and God’s forgiveness.
The San Antonio police are still seeking information about the case, and Crimestoppers is offering a reward for any tips that could lead to an arrest. Debra Seward hopes that someone will come forward with information to help bring justice to her daughter’s case.
