The incident occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. in the 400 block of Croydon Avenue when a man entered the victim’s vehicle, assaulted her and tried to force her into the car.

According to investigators, the woman managed to escape while the vehicle was still in motion. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s car. The stolen vehicle was later recovered in the 11,400 block of Parkvale Road, also in Rockville.
