A recent home invasion in Riverton, Wyoming, ended with the arrest of several individuals. The Riverton Police Department reported that on June 12, officers responded to a report of a home invasion in the area of Walnut & Adams.
Incident Details
According to the police, three individuals forcibly entered a residence, confronted the occupants, and assaulted one of the homeowners. The homeowner then retrieved a semi-automatic rifle and called 911, prompting the suspects to flee the scene in a vehicle.
Responding officers located a truck matching the description provided by witnesses and conducted a traffic stop. The occupants of the vehicle were detained and interviewed, and two juveniles were arrested on unrelated charges.
The investigation is ongoing, and charges may be forthcoming. The police believe this was a targeted incident involving an ongoing feud and that there is no ongoing threat to the general public.
