Rid-All Urban Farm in Kinsman is giving visitors the opportunity to pick their own produce. Farm manager Jasean Rice takes visitors through the farm’s hoop houses to select produce for purchase.
The farm has been working to recover from damage caused by the Asian lanternfly. As an organic farm, they do not use pest control, and the lanternflies have caused significant damage to the trees. The farm has had to cut down some trees and plant new ones.
Visitors to the farm can see the effects of the lanternflies, including sap leaking from the trees. Despite the challenges, the farm remains committed to providing fresh, organic produce to the community.
