Ravens WR Zay Flowers exits first half with 150 yards after hamstring injury

In a standout performance for the Baltimore Ravens, wide receiver Zay Flowers amassed a career‑high 150 receiving yards in the first half of Sunday’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The explosive start was cut short when Flowers was forced to the sideline with a hamstring injury six minutes before halftime.

Flowers’ dominant first‑half effort

Flowers opened the game with a 49‑yard reception from quarterback Lamar Jackson on the Ravens’ first offensive play, setting up a five‑yard rushing touchdown by Jackson. He continued to terrorize the Colts defense, breaking free for a 54‑yard touchdown in the second quarter. That play marked his fourth catch for 138 yards with just over six minutes left in the half.

On his fifth reception, Flowers was tackled by Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner and briefly sat on the turf, clutching the back of his left leg. Team officials later confirmed that the injury was a hamstring strain, and the player was listed as questionable for the remainder of the game.

Ravens’ outlook after the injury

Head coach John Harbaugh praised Flowers’ impact, noting that the receiver’s ability to stretch the field early gave the Ravens a significant advantage. “Zay showed why he’s a game‑changing talent,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll monitor his condition and hope to have him back as soon as possible.”

The Ravens also dealt with another injury early in the contest, as cornerback T.J. Tampa left the field in the first quarter with a knee issue. Despite the setbacks, Baltimore maintained a lead at halftime, thanks largely to Flowers’ big plays.

What’s next for the Ravens?

With Flowers’ status uncertain, the Ravens will likely rely on other receivers such as Rashod Bateman and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to fill the void. The team’s offensive strategy will continue to emphasize Jackson’s dual‑threat capability, balancing the ground game with deep passing attacks.

Fans can stay updated on Flowers’ recovery through the Ravens’ official channels and local sports coverage. The team hopes to have a clear answer on his availability before the next scheduled game.
