Residents in the Winterlakes community in Port St. Lucie, Florida, had a frightening encounter with a large rattlesnake that was found near a front door. Tiffany Everett, a neighbor, reported that the snake had been spotted in a palmetto bush in her neighbor’s backyard and was later seen slithering by the front door.
Rattlesnake Removal
Trapper Jay from Treasure Coast Wildlife Trappers was called to remove the snake. Jay spent about an hour searching the palmetto bushes and eventually located the snake, which was safely removed from the area. Jay advised residents to avoid getting close to rattlesnakes, as they will leave you alone if unprovoked, but will strike if threatened.
Unfortunately for Everett, neighbors have already spotted a second rattlesnake in the area, and Trapper Jay hopes to catch that one as well.
