The Texas Rangers placed outfielder Wyatt Langford on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a left hamstring strain and activated outfielder Evan Carter after a short turn on the IL because of an oblique strain.
Rangers Roster Moves
Langford was a late scratch for Saturday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays. A former No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 draft, the 24-year-old Langford is batting .278 with eight home runs and 20 RBIs. He had been limited to 40 games after missing six weeks earlier this season with a right forearm strain.
Carter, 23, is batting .176 with six home runs and 21 RBI in 66 games this season. He is a career .216 hitter with 21 home runs and 73 RBIs in 197 games over four seasons with the Rangers.
