Raleigh city leaders are set to discuss a zoning change that could affect traffic and future development near Millbrook High School off Litchford Road.
Rezoning Request Details
The city’s planning commission is expected to vote on rezoning property between Litchford Road and Johnsdale Road, which would allow more than 50 housing units on a four-acre lot.
Developers say the change would increase the city’s housing supply, but several residents in the area are against the zoning change, citing concerns that the infrastructure cannot safely support more housing.
Residents are particularly concerned about the use of Johnsdale Road as the only access point, which they say is narrow and not pedestrian-friendly for students.
