Over 80 pro-life organizations, including Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, have sent a letter to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, calling for an end to mail-order abortions. The groups are urging the Department of Justice to settle the Louisiana v. FDA lawsuit by agreeing to a court-ordered consent decree, which would immediately remove dangerous abortion drugs from the mail while the FDA conducts a prompt and rigorous safety review.
Protecting the Unborn
According to Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, the current mail-order abortion drug system has led to a surge in abortions, with approximately 15,000 babies dying every month due to mail-order abortions in states with pro-life laws. Dannenfelser stressed that survivors, like plaintiff Rosalie Markezich, deserve justice, and that the issue demands to be treated with urgency and seriousness.
The pro-life movement is also calling on elected officials to pass ambitious protections for unborn children grounded in the 14th Amendment. Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is urging pro-life citizens to sign the Declaration of Independence for the Unborn, which aims to fulfill the Declaration of Independence’s promise of the right to life for all Americans.
