An investigation is underway after a police shooting in South Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officials say a suspect was waving a baseball bat at a car on Normandie Avenue and Interstate 10 in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood at around 6:45 p.m.
A police shooting occurred, and the suspect was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition, the LAPD said. It’s unclear what prompted the shooting.
No officers were injured, police said.
