A single-engine airplane crashed into Yale Lake in northeastern Clark County on Wednesday, July 22nd, at about 11:30 a.m. The pilot, a 76-year-old man, reported experiencing a mechanical failure before the aircraft crashed into the lake. He was able to exit the aircraft before it sank.
Local boaters rescued the pilot shortly after the crash. He was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified, and the incident remains under investigation.
