Photographer Sarah Silbiger and her partner Jason Bernert traveled across the United States in a 23-foot Winnebago EKKO, capturing the country’s diverse landscapes and quirky attractions. Silbiger, who had previously worked as a freelance photojournalist in Washington, DC, sought to explore the country and break out of her creative rut.

Silbiger’s journey took her to 35 states, where she photographed everything from the Grand Canyon to a 12-foot tall, 700-pound inflatable lobster in Maine. Her photos, which she has compiled into a series called ‘Wanderer’s Window,’ showcase the beauty and eccentricity of America.
Silbiger’s creative vision for the series was sparked by a photo she took at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California’s Alabama Hills. She used the van as a giant camera, carefully maneuvering it to frame the perfect shot.
