Pflugerville Hosts Citywide Blood Drive

The Pflugerville Veterans Advisory Task Force is hosting a citywide blood drive to raise 250 donations in honor of America’s 250th birthday. The goal is to help fill the gap in blood supply during the summer months when donations tend to be lower.

Drive Schedule

The blood drive will take place at various locations across Pflugerville, including the Pflugerville Police Department, EVS Metals, Spare Time Bowling, Pflugerville Lions Club, First Baptist Church Pflugerville, Pflugerville Public Library, Dr. Farrah Ortho, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Dawoodi Bohra Markaz Anjuman-e-Burhani.

The initiative is also aligned with America Gives, the largest volunteer effort in U.S. history, aimed at setting a national record for volunteer service in 2026. According to Lissette Weldon, a member of the Pflugerville Veterans Advisory Task Force, the point of the blood drive is service and to bring people together.
