Peter Wilde, a self-effacing singer-songwriter, has been writing songs celebrating the wildlands of the Pacific Northwest for almost 40 years. His music was a key part of the Warner Creek blockade 30 years ago. Wilde is best known for his song ‘People in Trees,’ which is featured in the eco-documentary ‘Pickaxe,’ about the Warner Creek blockade.

Wilde will perform at the Warner Creek 30th Anniversary Celebration on Aug. 24 at the WOW Hall. Casey Neill will also perform. Tickets and information are available on Wilde’s page on Bandcamp.
Wilde’s music has been compared to Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan. He has recorded eight albums and toured nationally. Wilde was born in Massachusetts and moved to Eugene in 1990. He has played 10 times at the Oregon Country Fair and has worked with many local artists.
