A Perry daycare is scrambling after its van disappeared overnight, disrupting rides to school and summer field trips. The missing van has already impacted dozens of children in the area, as it is used for daily transportation and summer field trips.
Community Rallies Around Daycare
Jennifer Brownlee, owner of Wee Maroons Day Care, expressed concern about the impact of the missing van on the children and their families. ‘There’s not a lot of childcare in this town, and these parents need childcare, and they depend on us, and we have to have transportation to get these kids to school,’ she said.
The Perry Police Department is investigating the disappearance of the daycare’s 2001 white van and is asking anyone who recognizes the vehicle or the person caught on surveillance to contact investigators. A GoFundMe has been created to help replace the van.
