A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on Tremont Street in Boston on Thursday morning.
The crash occurred around 8:19 a.m. in the area of 1457 Tremont St. Police said preliminary information is that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the vehicle involved has stopped.
Tremont Street is closed in both directions between Brigham Circle and Roxbury Crossing, and police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
