Carolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette may not play in the upcoming preseason game against the Buffalo Bills due to a stinger injury he suffered early in training camp.
Return to Practice
Legette returned to practice on Wednesday, with head coach Dave Canales expressing a positive outlook on his progress. Canales stated that Legette won’t likely play in the preseason game on Saturday, as he hasn’t reached the desired level of conditioning.
Legette, a former first-round draft pick, has been working to improve his skills during the offseason. He acknowledged that some people may be questioning his future after losing his starting job to undrafted free agent Jalen Coker last season.
Despite this, Legette remains focused on the details and is working to make plays. He has caught 84 passes for 860 yards and seven touchdowns in 31 games.
