Palm Beach County Voters See Election Process

Palm Beach County election officials are offering residents a behind-the-scenes look at how elections work ahead of the Aug. 18 primary. The Palm Beach County supervisor of elections office has launched its Elections Experience Tour, a public program designed to show how ballots are handled, what security measures are in place and how officials work to ensure every eligible vote is counted accurately.

The tour walks visitors through parts of the election process that most voters do not see, including voting equipment, ballot security and other procedures used before ballots are cast and before results are reported on election night. Among those attending was the Muniz family, who made the visit part of a homeschool lesson.

Mateo Muniz said, “There’s a lot that I didn’t know about how we protect people’s votes and just being able to be sure whose vote is counted and how they all go through.” His mother, Mayda Muniz, said the experience helped make civics education more tangible for students, especially as her sons will one day learn to cast their own ballots.

Supervisor of Elections Wendy Link said the tour is meant to build public confidence by giving residents a firsthand look at the process. “We want people to trust the system, and there’s a lot of misinformation out there,” Link said. “So, we figured the best way for people to understand it and trust it is if they can see it.”

Tours will take place at the Palm Beach County supervisor of elections main office, located at 4301 Cherry Road, West Palm Beach, on the following dates and times: June 16, 2026: 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.; June 17, 2026: 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.; June 25, 2026: 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.; June 26, 2026: 9:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
