Palm Beach County election officials sent out nearly 105,000 mail-in ballots on Thursday, marking the start of preparations for Florida’s primary election on August 18.
Mail-In Ballot Process
In West Palm Beach, crews loaded pallets of ballots into USPS service trucks, with each ballot sorted by ZIP code and marked for quick processing by the postal service.
Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link explained that some voters could receive their ballots as early as Saturday, signaling the beginning of a busy election season.
Once voters mail back their ballots, they can track them online through the county’s voter dashboard. The system provides updates on when a ballot was mailed and flags any issues, such as missing or mismatched signatures.
Voters can still request mail-in ballots as preparations continue for the upcoming primary election.
