UFO Sightings in Oregon
While New Mexico and Nevada are perhaps best known for UFO sightings, the National UFO Reporting Center data shows that the state with the most sightings is California, with more than 17,200 reports as of July 2, 2026. However, Oregon also has its fair share of UFO sightings.
The National UFO Reporting Center relies on volunteers to separate fact from fiction and has been tracking UFO sightings since 1995. The center’s data shows that there have been numerous UFO sightings in Oregon, with some cities reporting more sightings than others.
The belief in aliens has become more prevalent in the United States, with 41% of respondents in a 2021 Gallup survey saying they believe at least some UFOs are alien-related. The U.S. government has also addressed the question of UFOs, with the Department of Defense releasing multiple videos filmed by military pilots that were thought to possibly capture UFOs.
