The tour, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., features approximately ten gardens. Elizabeth Gillette, one of the event’s organizers, shares that each walk through the neighborhood reveals something new. ‘We walk our dogs through our neighborhood every day, and I see new things every single day,’ she says.

Proceeds from the event are dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life in Old Louisville. The funds support various initiatives, including the installation of trash receptacles, park benches, and the maintenance of local parks like Jubilee Park and Magnolia Park. Smith Griggs, the board president of the association, emphasizes the importance of these efforts in maintaining the neighborhood’s historic charm.
