Oklahoma City first responders are hosting the ninth annual Boots and Badges blood drive to help save lives. The event, organized in partnership with the Oklahoma Blood Institute, aims to boost the state’s blood supply with a family-friendly event at the Paycom Center.

First responders are calling on the community to help save lives by participating in the blood drive. “People have said to me so many times, it’s you must really enjoy your job because it gives you an opportunity to help people. This is your opportunity to do something like that, to be a hero and help people,” said Gary Knight, of the Oklahoma City Police Department.
The event will feature live music, family-friendly activities, and a carnival-like atmosphere with police, fire, and paramedic equipment on display. All donors will receive a special T-shirt and free entry to Frontier City, Hurricane Harbor, or Magic Springs while supplies last.
