Local celebrities are lacing up their dancing shoes to help raise money for sick children across Oklahoma. The “Dancing for a Miracle” Gala is set for Aug. 22 at the Embassy Suites in Norman. The event benefits Children’s Health Foundation and supports pediatric research, education and care across the state.
Celebrity Dancers
Among this year’s celebrity dancers are Tina Floyd and Jen Berge, who have been spending weeks training, perfecting their choreography and raising money for the cause. Berge said the impact of donations reaches families throughout Oklahoma.
“The money stays in the state of Oklahoma, but it goes to all 77 counties, and it does a really great job of going toward pediatric care, whether that is research,” Berge said. Berge also shared that the fundraising effort has also helped bring specialized medical care to Oklahoma, so families do not have to leave the state to get treatment.
The gala will feature dinner, auctions and performances from the celebrity and professional dancers. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet the event’s 2026 Champion Child, Hunter. Hunter was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive tumor and received highly specialized care from an expert medical team. Support from events like “Dancing for a Miracle” helps make that kind of care possible and gives families hope during difficult times.
