Dallas‑Fort Worth residents will mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with a series of solemn events throughout the Metroplex. The schedule, compiled from city and event‑site websites, offers a mix of remembrance ceremonies, community marches, stair‑climbs and volunteer service projects designed to bring together first responders, civic leaders and families.
Morning remembrance ceremonies
- Grapevine – 7:30 a.m. at the 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial (1000 Texan Trail). An honor guard will lead a live‑streamed ceremony followed by the MARCH 455 down Main Street.
- Fort Worth – 7:15 a.m. at the City Hall Back Porch (100 Fort Worth Trail) for a city‑wide memorial.
- George W. Bush Presidential Center (Dallas) – 8:30‑9:00 a.m. Moment of Remembrance on the plaza, featuring local police and fire departments. Admission and parking are free; registration is required.

Community activities throughout the week
More than 400 first responders recently completed the Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Comerica Bank Tower, ascending 110 flights after an opening ceremony at Main Street Garden Park.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, Arlington will host the 9/11 Heroes Run 5K & Ruck near the National Medal of Honor Museum. The event begins with an opening ceremony at 8:00 a.m. and the run starts at 8:30 a.m., with proceeds benefiting the Travis Manion Foundation.
Also on Saturday, the National Day of Service and Remembrance will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Dallas‑Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Parkway). Volunteers will clean headstones and maintain the grounds, honoring the fallen and supporting the families of first responders.
