LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State University released the complete 2026‑27 men’s basketball schedule on Wednesday, giving Aggies fans a clear view of the 30‑game regular‑season lineup.
Season opener and early non‑conference tests
The Aggies open the season on Nov. 3 with a home game against Western New Mexico at the Pan American Center. The non‑conference stretch quickly escalates with a road trip to Gonzaga on Nov. 7, followed by a visit to UTEP on Nov. 12.
Nov. 15 sees NMSU travel to Oceanside, Calif., for the Compete 4 Cause Classic, where the team will face San Diego State. After the neutral‑site showdown, the Aggies return to Las Cruces for a Battle of I‑10 rematch with UTEP on Nov. 19.
Jacksonville Classic and December matchups
Late November brings the Jacksonville Classic in Jacksonville, Fla. NMSU will meet Robert Morris on Nov. 22 and then take on Lamar on Nov. 24. The month closes with a home game against Denver on Nov. 28.
December opens with two home contests: the University of the Southwest on Dec. 1 and Pacific on Dec. 15. The Aggies also travel to New Mexico on Dec. 5 and to Saint Mary’s on Dec. 9 for additional non‑conference competition.
Conference USA play
Starting in late December, the Aggies begin an 18‑game Conference USA slate that balances nine home games and nine road games. The schedule promises competitive matchups across the conference, positioning NMSU for a strong finish to the regular season.
Postseason play is slated to begin on March 9, with the tournament returning to Propst Arena in Huntsville, Ala., offering a familiar venue for the Aggies’ postseason aspirations.
