Eldorado High School graduate Timmy Kamphuis, a catcher and second baseman, is gaining recognition from professional scouts ahead of the MLB draft. Kamphuis said his love for baseball grew from the challenges it presented. He is currently committed to Glendale Community College in Arizona.

Kamphuis’ story is about more than just baseball. Adopted by white parents, he credits them as his biggest supporters. At Eldorado, he was active in the Black Student Union and said he hopes to inspire others. Kamphuis recently showcased his skills at the Colorado Rocky Invitational, where professional scouts took notice.
