In a heartening return to their roots, NFL players Monty Rice and LaBryan Ray are set to host their Annual Youth Football Camp at James Clemens High School in Madison, Alabama. Scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, this event offers young athletes across North Alabama a unique opportunity to learn from professionals who have successfully transitioned from local fields to the national stage.

Local Heroes Giving Back

Monty Rice, originally from Huntsville, and LaBryan Ray, a native of Madison, are both celebrated alumni of James Clemens High School. Rice, a former University of Georgia linebacker, was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2021 and has recently played with the Detroit Lions. Ray, who played as a defensive lineman for Alabama, is currently with the Carolina Panthers after joining the NFL in 2022.

The camp, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon with registration starting at 8 a.m., is open to boys and girls aged 7 to 18. It focuses on teaching football fundamentals, fostering competition, and encouraging sportsmanship. The event also aims to build connections among young athletes and coaches, emphasizing the importance of community and teamwork.
