Brandon Aiyuk, a wide receiver, took a public jab at Jayden Daniels, a quarterback, on Instagram. Aiyuk, who is still a member of the San Francisco 49ers, posted a story where he tagged Daniels’ account and said, ‘5′ gonna text me talking about some, ‘You’re on my team now. You follow my rules.’ Boy, I’m a grown-ass man, boy. You gonna have to start running behind your mamma, and I might believe what you talking about. But until then, mmm-mmm.’
Aiyuk’s post was seen as a response to speculation that he might join the Washington Commanders, where Daniels is the franchise quarterback. The two players were previously teammates at Arizona State.
Daniels seemingly responded to Aiyuk’s post with an Instagram story of his own, featuring a video of Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant giving a thumbs-down to a fan. Aiyuk then posted a GIF of himself holding up a pair of shoes with the message: ‘Let’s Run it 5! Let’s see! Need you available all son, and I’ll do the same!’
