NFIB Urges Rep. Don Davis to Repeal BOI Mandate

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has released new paid radio and digital advertisements across North Carolina, urging Rep. Don Davis to permanently repeal the law that established the unconstitutional Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) mandate.

Background

In 2025, President Trump exempted more than 32 million American small businesses from the burdensome and unconstitutional BOI reporting requirements, saving them over $128 billion in compliance costs and regulatory burdens. However, the NFIB is concerned that if the law is not fully repealed, these small businesses will once again be subjected to this invasive and unconstitutional mandate.

The NFIB is working to permanently block and repeal the BOI law, and is calling on lawmakers to require the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) to destroy all BOI data already submitted by U.S. small businesses.
