NFIB Names Cody Carlson Iowa State Director

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced Cody Carlson as its new State Director in Iowa. Carlson will oversee state advocacy, operations, political engagement, communications, and programming for NFIB members across the state.

Background and Experience

Carlson has an extensive background in government affairs and knowledge of small business priorities, which will serve him well in representing thousands of small businesses throughout Iowa. He spent the past five years advancing government affairs initiatives at the state and national levels in Iowa, including his recent role as Manager of Government Affairs for the Iowa League of Cities.

As Manager of Government Affairs, Carlson helped pass proactive, small-government priorities in consecutive legislative sessions, including sweeping property tax reform. His experience and expertise will be valuable assets to the NFIB team.

"Cody has an extensive background in government affairs and extensive knowledge of small business priorities.
