A new sports bar, Victory & Vice, is set to open in the West Loop at the end of August. The bar will feature over 30 screens, a large viewing wall, and an expansive island bar. Co-owner Brian Galati stated that the bar aims to fill a void in the market by providing personalized viewing options for groups of 10 or more, including the ability to connect personal earbuds to any of the televisions.
Features and Menu
Victory & Vice will offer a diverse food menu, including tavern-style pizza and a Chicago pizza puff. The bar will also feature a cocktail lineup with interactive tableside services, such as an espresso martini service and a dirty martini service. Galati mentioned that the bar will have a 1,000-plus-square-foot patio with multiple viewing screens and plans to work with the city to occasionally shut down the block for tailgate-style parties and other mini-festivals throughout the year.
The sports bar will use a technology that allows customers to request games from various streaming services, including March Madness, Champions League, and the Olympics. With at least 11 streaming services, fans will be able to request games from around the world. The bar plans to pre-program about 70 percent of its televisions with major games and a set schedule tied to a massive main screen, while reserving roughly 25-30 percent of screens for fan-requested matches.
