Dom Warshaw, a poet from New Haven’s Westville neighborhood, recently organized a morning writing group at Possible Futures book space on Edgewood Avenue. The group, which met from 6:30 to 7:30 am, provided a quiet and productive environment for writers to work on their projects.
A Space to Create
Warshaw, who has a three-year-old at home and a full-time job as a clinical operations manager, needed a dedicated space to focus on their writing. They approached Lauren Anderson, the owner of Possible Futures, who agreed to host the group. The space proved to be ideal, with a carpeted floor, coffee, and mechanical pencils available for writers.
Warshaw and four other writers attended the first meeting, working quietly on their projects before sharing their work and socializing. The group plans to meet again, providing a much-needed space for writers to connect and create.
