A cooling center has opened up in New Albany to help residents beat the heat this week. Culbertson Baptist Church will be open until Saturday as a cooling center. The church is located at 4007 Grant Line Road.
In addition to a place to get away from the heat, snacks and water will be available for guests. The church will be open from 2-7 p.m.
This week, temperatures will be in the 90s, with the heat index reaching into the 100s.
