According to a recent report by Ofcom, Netflix has become the first choice for UK viewers, with 26% of viewers turning to the streaming service first, compared to 25% for the BBC.

The report also found that ITV was the first choice for 15% of viewers, and that viewing of broadcaster-owned streaming services, including BBC iPlayer and ITVX, increased by 9% year-on-year.
Additionally, the report noted that subscription streaming services are now present in around 70% of British homes, and that average daily viewing of YouTube on television sets doubled to 19 minutes per person last year.
