Moxie Cinema in Springfield is seeking filmmakers and dog lovers to submit short films or photos starring their dogs for the inaugural Dog-Cademy Awards, a film festival and fundraiser supporting local pet rescue organizations.
Submission Guidelines
The festival welcomes submissions across four categories: photo, video of 30 seconds or less, video of up to one minute, and video of up to five minutes, with corresponding submission fees. Submissions are open through August 15 on The Moxie Cinema’s website.
The festival culminates with the Dog-Cademy Awards Gala on October 3 at Mother’s Brewing Company, featuring a red-carpet photo experience, awards presentation, and a best-of screening reel celebrating the films and the dogs that made them possible.
