Demolition has begun at the former Museum of Science & History building in Downtown Jacksonville, located at 1025 Museum Circle on the Southbank. The museum closed in 2025 as part of plans to build a new facility on the Northbank.
A recent visit to the site showed that walls had been partially demolished, revealing gutted portions of the interior. Windows were removed or broken, and twisted metal beams were visible on the grounds.
