The men, who claimed to be a pimp and a pusher, began describing the horrific acts they planned to commit against her.

However, Fairchild’s quick wit and sense of humor may have saved her life. She responded to their threats with wisecracks, which eventually led the men to laugh and decide to release her. They instructed the cab driver to take her wherever she wanted to go, and Fairchild returned to her sister’s apartment, shaken but alive.
