Mini‑Bigfoot sightings reported on farms in Indiana and Westmoreland Counties

Southwest Pennsylvania residents reported unusual sightings on consecutive nights in Indiana County and Westmoreland County. Both encounters involved creatures described as much smaller than the classic eight‑foot Bigfoot, leading local researcher Stan Gordon to label them “mini‑Bigfoots.”

Indiana County farm encounter – August 18

A woman working in a farm building heard a thumping noise and, upon exiting, saw two figures crouching about 60 feet away behind trees. She observed the pair standing roughly three and a half feet tall, walking upright on two legs. Their bodies were covered in medium‑length, light‑brown hair, with heads appearing to rest directly on their shoulders. The witness noted dark‑brown faces, round dark eyes, and slender arms resembling those of a young child. She also reported hearing soft, cooing noises that reminded her of a baby.

When the woman sneezed, the two figures turned toward her, prompting her to flee the scene and return home. Her husband did not see the creatures, but later heard loud knocks on the farm property. Their dog became reluctant to go outside, and the woman was awakened one night by a sound similar to the earlier cooing.

Westmoreland County road sighting – August 19

The following evening, a driver traveling a rural road reported spotting a single hair‑covered creature sprinting up a hill. She estimated the being to be about five feet tall, moving on two legs and covered in charcoal‑gray hair. The creature’s head was described as dome‑shaped with no visible neck, and its arms were long, swinging as it moved. Its nose appeared slightly flat with flared nostrils, and its eyes were small and dark. The witness saw only one leg clearly as the creature spun around and retreated down the hillside.

Context and local reaction

Both sightings occurred in an area of Pennsylvania that has a history of reported Bigfoot and UFO activity, according to Gordon. However, there is no direct link between these recent mini‑Bigfoot reports and earlier incidents. As with many such encounters, no physical evidence—photographs, video, or footprints—has been provided.

Local residents expressed a mix of curiosity and caution. The farm family’s dog showed obvious fear, and the witnesses described the experience as unsettling yet intriguing. Gordon indicated that OutKick Outdoors will continue monitoring the region for any further reports.
