Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi Celebrate Arrival of Second Adopted Child

Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi have welcomed a second child into their family, the couple revealed in a joint Instagram post on Thursday. The photo shows the newborn’s tiny hands clasped around their fingers, accompanied by the caption, “hi little guy!” A simple “mom” ring is visible on Brown’s finger.

Adoption Journey Continues

Both children were adopted, with the newest addition arriving just over a year after the 22‑year‑old “Stranger Things” star and the 24‑year‑old model and actor first announced the adoption of a baby girl. People magazine confirmed the second child’s adoption status.

Brown’s Advocacy for Adoption

Brown has spoken openly about her adoption experience, noting that she always dreamed of adopting and that it has been a lifelong aspiration. On the “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce” podcast in June, she explained that while she hopes to experience childbirth someday, adoption has always been a central part of her future. She described adoption as “love” and “forever,” emphasizing the importance of the process.

She also highlighted the preparation involved, mentioning courses she took and two years of social‑work studies before switching to veterinary studies, noting that the adoption component of her coursework was especially meaningful.

Advice for Prospective Parents

Brown described the most challenging part of adoption as “waiting for the call,” urging other families not to compare their timelines to others. “Your baby’s out there and you’ll find each other,” she encouraged, adding that she prayed nightly for this moment.

Family Life and Parenting Perspective

Since marrying Bongiovi, the son of rock star Jon Bon Jovi, in 2024, Brown has expressed that motherhood feels like moving “from black and white to color,” saying everything feels “complete and perfect.” She also stressed the responsibility of raising a daughter, drawing on her own experience of a highly public childhood and frequent criticism, and vowed to help her grow confident and proud of who she is.
